Opening Day-Herb Plant Give Away

When: Saturday June 16, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Town Hall,  1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description:  Celebrate the Opening Day for the Farmer’s Market season with all your favorite farmers and artisan food vendors.  South Shore Bank will be joining us and handing out FREE herb plants for your kitchen garden.  Start of the season right by picking up locally grown produce and a FREE herb plant that will spice up your meals throughout the season.

Strawberry Festival

When: Saturday June 23, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Town Hall,  1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description:  It’s Strawberry Season in Massachusetts and what better way to commemorate this precious berry than to serve up Strawberry Shortcakes made by the LollyCake Ladies and served up with the help of Liberty Bay Credit Union with strawberries locally grown by C.N. Smith Farm.   Our farmers will be selling strawberries to take home and many of our food vendors will have strawberry themed foods available.  This event is sponsored in part by by Liberty Bay Credit Union.

Clam & Lobster Feast

When: Saturday Sept 1, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Town Hall,  1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description:  Join us on the Braintree Town Hall Green as Fresh Catch Seafood sets up and serves and array of seafood made to order.  Steamers, lobsters, stuffed quahogs, clam chowder, lobster bisque, lobster rolls and all the fixings.  Stop by for one of the most popular events of the season.  This event is sponsored by Fresh Catch Seafood.

BELD Public Power Day

When: Saturday Oct 13, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Town Hall,  1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description:  It’s a tradition that Braintree Electric Light Dept. celebrates it’s annual customer appreciation event at the Braintree Farmers Market.  Public Power Week is observed by 2,200+ utilities that collectively provide electricity on a not-for-profit basis to 43 million Americans.  Stop by for information and pick up some goodies.

Historical Braintree Farmers Market

When: Saturday Oct 27, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Historical Society,  Washington Street, Braintree
Description:  For the final outdoor market of the season we are celebrating Braintree’s history by relocating across the street on the grounds of the Braintree Historical Society.  Stop by to vote at the Braintree Town Hall and walk across the street to pick up your local foods while exploring the particulars of Braintree’s past.

Indoor Braintree Thanksgiving Farmers Market

When: Saturday November 17, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Town Hall,  1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description:  Celebrate the end of the Farmer’s Market season with a full harvest for your holiday table. Gift baskets & local crafts will also be available. The market will be located inside the Braintree Town Hall.  Live music and a horse-drawn hayride.  This event is sponsored by Liberty Bay Credit Union. Music sponsored by Braintree Electric Dept.  This is a hoe-down not to be missed!

Winter/Spring Farmers’ Markets

When: Saturday Feb 2, Mar 2, Apr 6, May 4, 2019, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where:  Braintree Town Hall,  1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description:  Due to popular demand we are now working on having four farmers markets during the winter and spring months.  The Braintree Farmers Market will be held inside the Braintree Town Hall Cahill Auditorium on four Saturdays from 9 to 1.  Support your favorite vendors and enjoy your favorite local foods throughout the year.
