Make a Difference Day-Last Outdoor Market
When:  Saturday, Oct 28, 2017  9 AM – 1 PM
Where: Braintree Farmers Market/Town Hall 1 JFK Memorial Drive, Braintree
Description: Make A Difference Day is a national day of helping other people, held each year on the fourth Saturday in October. In Braintree, we participate by holding a collection at Town Hall for new and gently used goods for a variety of local nonprofit organizations.  Make a donation and receive a free pumpkin grown by C.N. Smith Farm sponsored by Rockland Trust and hosted by Sustainable Braintree. (while supplies last)

Donations Needed:

NEW OR QUALITY USED ITEMS: Bikes not Bombs: Bicycles, bike parts and bike accessories (broken items OK but no rust; no scooters or motorized bikes) Please make a tax-deductible donation of $10.00 per bike to fund the shipping of the bike overseas

Kids’ Clothes Closet: Fall and winter clothing (infant to high school)

Cradles to Crayons: Children’s clothing (new/like new), books, toys & games, crib & twin size bedding, pack-n-plays, stroller & car seats less than 5 yrs old. New feeding & safety equipment, packaged diapers & hygiene items

Quincy Animal Shelter: Old sheets and blankets

Marge Crispin Center: Toiletries (toilet paper, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap), non-perishable food, paper goods (including napkins and paper towels), laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, diapers, sanitary items, baby wipes

Cell Phones for Cell Phones for Soldiers

Eyeglasses for Lions Recycle for Sight

MISCELLANEOUS: Soda can tabs for Shriners hospitals, Box Tops for Education, wine corks, old keys for keyforhope.org, Campbell’s labels
