Smith Farm.  The market will also be kickin’ off our 2016 Local Musicians Series sponsored by BELD.  All your favorite farmers and vendors will be here with a few new ones too.  You won’t want to miss this one!

For the first time ever the Braintree Cooperative Bank will be giving away herb seedlings grown by Second Nature Farm.  As a neighborly gesture the Braintree Cooperative Bank will be handing our young herb plants for your garden or window box so that you can enjoy fresh herbs with your market foods.  Get to the market early as they are available while supplies last.

Lollycake Ladies will be celebrating the opening of the Braintree Farmers Market and the Strawberry Festival with a classic Strawberry Shortcake.  Its a simple but tasty combination of biscuit, strawberries and cream that will definitely start your summer off right!  The shortcake recipe has been handed down through the generations and its buttery, light, fluffy and delicious.  The strawberries are from local and fellow vendor C.N. Smith Farm.
