We’re celebrating the Fourth of July at the Braintree Farmers Market where each one of our vendors have been carefully selected to ensure that our customers will enjoy a wide selection of high quality local foods.  We have several new vendors this season including Rhode Island Mushroom Company who are growers and purveyors of exotic mushrooms.  Each week you have the opportunity to try different mushooms that are sure to please your palate with their unique flavors and textures.   RI Mushroom Company was formed in 2013 and they have been steadily growing mushrooms ever since.  They provide a vast assortment of mushrooms to high end restaurants and now you can purchase their wares right at the Braintree Farmers Market.  Their current varieties include blue oyster, crimini, golden oyster, king oyster, maitake, portobella and pioppino.  Sample an array of flavors at the market which has been a testing ground for local foods you’ll find no where else.
Please note that BELD provides solar power for free cold water in an effort to keep the market earth friendly.  The market operates every Saturday from 9 to 1 outside the Braintree Town Hall, One JFK Memorial Dr., Braintree,  rain or shine, hot or cold.  In the event of extreme weather conditions the market is moved inside the Braintree Town Hall.  Join us at the market and find out why this market has a loyal following.  Now is the peak season for fresh, healthy, local produce.
