Braintree Farmers Market News

2024 Market Season

The Braintree Farmers Market is currently open for the 2024 season and we are here to provide community engagement with a spotlight on health and wellbeing. The market will be operating every Saturday from 9 to 1 thru October 12th plus the Special Thanksgiving Holiday Market on November 23, 2024. The BFM is unique in that we are located in front of the Braintree Town Hall on fair weather days and are allowed to function inside the town hall on days that offer unpleasant weather conditions. This option has been appreciated by our market visitors and vendors in terms of comfort and keeping our products from being destroyed or compromised by wind, water and extreme temperatures.

The BFM is not a craft market nor is it a flea market but a market that is focused on local farms and foods. Our vendors are carefully curated to provide a variety of high quality products to our market visitors. We are serious about loyalty to our artisan food vendors and farms allowing only items that will compliment our selections without having too much overlap in similar items while keeping track of our customers’ demands. All of our artisan foods are created in fully licensed and permitted commercial kitchens to ensure the highest in safety standards for our market patrons.

Each market date is enhanced with musical entertainment by talented local musicians, sponsored by BELD, that offers entertainment for our market visitors. We also provide space for community non-profit organizations creating visibility for them to engage with interested individuals.

The BFM also provides both state and federally funded food assistance to those in need. Programs such as HIP (Healthy Incentives Program), EBT (formerly know as food stamps), WIC, Elderly coupons and MA Farmers Market Coupons are all accepted at the market. We also have our own currency whereby you can purchase $5 tokens that can be used to purchase items from any of our vendors. This makes it easier so you don’t need to use cash or credit cards for smaller purchases. Stop by our Market Moolah Tent to get all your questions answered.

Join us at the Braintree Farmers Market any Saturday from 9 to 1 to find out why our market is so popular with local foodies. Meet the farmers and folks that provide us with their products made with passion and ingredients that you can actually pronounce that you won’t find with mass produced foods. Each and every purchase is a boost to our local economy and helps small micro businesses thrive. Thanks to ALL who support the BFM and we’ll see you on Saturday!
